A few hot August days were probably just enough after all. Just enough to savor the heat and have some fun in the sun but not too many to complain about. One golden hot day at Hiawatha park with little girls in sundresses floating about like little fairies.
It was beautiful while it lasted and now bye to summer

It certainly is good-bye to summer that never came. This is the first year I haven't whined non-stop from June to September. It was wonderful. As you say, just enough hot days. My tomatoes were unhappy about it though.
