Honeysuckle peeks through the curtains for a view of the birds

Two shy young cats were in my charge for the weekend while the rest of the family went to Disneyland. Honeysuckle and Puss n Boots were rescue cats. They have a little clip from one ear- a sort of badge of honor that marks their rough start in life. It must have been a traumatic start because they were real scaredy cats at first , jumping a foot in the air and scampering away at the slightest movement when they first came to their new home. I usually only saw glimpses of Puss n Boots as he would make a mad dash from one hiding spot to another whenever visitors like me were in the house. But thanks to their feline curiosity. a few ear rubs and not to mention salmon flavored cat chow we are good friends now.
